One of the things I love about God is that He has a heart for the weakest and most vulnerable among us. The Bible is clear that God wants us to be a voice of the voiceless, to speak out on behalf of those without a voice, those who are defenseless and in the midst of injustice.
So Proverbs 31:8 has always been one of my favorite scriptures. As Christians, we have to take action, and not just wait around for others to do something.
God created the animals and He loves them. Any Christian who believes that God would approve of what is going on in the animal industries today is simply wrong, in my opinion.
So let’s speak out. For anyone who loves animals, the first step is to stop eating them. And while that is a great thing to do, I believe that they need for us to do more than just that. They need for us to expose the horrible abuse and complete disregard for life that is happening every day in factory farms. They need for us to expose how animal agriculture is destructive to this planet. They need for us to expose that it was never God’s original intent for us to eat animals. His original design was love, peace and harmony among all living beings.
They need a voice because they are voiceless.
There are many ways that we can be a voice of the voiceless. Let’s pray about how God wants to use us.

Thanks for the blunt reminder, I’m trying to eat less meat….it’s sinking in. 🙂
